March 10th through the 16th is Patient Safety Awareness Week (PSAW), a time when the Center for Patient Safety encourages recognition and appreciation for endeavors aimed at enhancing safe healthcare practices. Aligned with the global campaign sponsored by IHI, the Center for Patient Safety (CPS) has chosen “Safer Together” as this year’s theme, stressing the significance of collective safety efforts encompassing care providers, support staff, patients, and their families.
