At Legacy, our name means more than simply providing care — it represents a deep-rooted commitment to honoring those who have served our country and our communities with courage, sacrifice, and selflessness.
As owners of Legacy, and as the son and daughter-in-law of a highly decorated Marine who served in both Vietnam and the Gulf War, the Murphy family holds a profound respect for our nation’s Veterans. Their sacrifices, dedication, and unwavering service have shaped not only our country, but also the heart behind everything we do.
Prior to his passing in 2013, our beloved father, Joe Murphy, had a special calling to serve senior citizens and Veterans alike. He believed deeply in treating others with dignity, compassion, and genuine respect — values that continue to guide Legacy today. It is both a privilege and an honor to carry on that legacy by ensuring the Veterans we serve receive the compassionate, personalized care they so sincerely deserve.
As Memorial Day approaches, we are reminded not only of the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, but also of the countless Veterans who continue to carry the physical and emotional weight of that service every day. Their courage and sacrifice helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today, and their stories deserve to be honored with gratitude, respect, and meaningful care.
At Legacy, Veterans are not simply patients — they are heroes, fathers, mothers, neighbors, and members of a generation that gave so much for others. Serving them is not just part of what we do; it is part of who we are.
Our gratitude for our Veterans is, and always will be, our “WHY.” 🇺🇸
